• Chemeketa Community College, Oregon. Its request for information on counselling appointment software closed on 19 August 2026. An RFI normally comes before an RFP, and a college counselling centre is the proven win pattern. Look again 15 November.
• South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. A written determination dated 30 January 2026 awards Medicat as an interim electronic health record without competition and states that a competitive RFP will follow. Whether the scope covers residential sites, community sites or both is still unknown. Look again 1 December.
• Central Alabama Wellness. Alabama granted it $43,580 on 24 August 2026 to upgrade its electronic health record. No procurement date was stated, so the look-again date is 90 days out. Look again 6 December.

Closed this week

• City of Kansas City, Missouri Health Department, electronic health record EV4713. Closed 3 September. Assessed the same day as no bid this cycle: the questions deadline had passed on 31 July, and the 2 requirement matrices that decide the fit sit behind a Bonfire vendor account Carepatron does not hold. The lead is a reasonable fit and worth tracking if Kansas City extends or reposts it.

• City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1 September, REVIEW. Re-scored to SKIP on 3 September. Portsmouth is hiring a consultant to redesign the electronic health record it already owns, not buying one.
• Wyoming Department of Health, Behavioral Health Division, 3 and 4 September, REVIEW twice through 2 different sources. Re-scored to SKIP both times. Its Behavioral Health Management System is the state's own reporting system that sits above provider records, and it also runs residential bed waitlists and pays claims.
• New watch items, 4 September. Chemeketa Community College and the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, both described in the watchlist above.
• Near misses, correctly disqualified. County of Marin wants an enterprise electronic health record spanning physical health, substance use and finance (31 August). Florida Department of Children and Families wants one for 3 state inpatient psychiatric hospitals, and inpatient scope is a rubric disqualifier (2 September). SUNY Cobleskill bought Medicat One under a discretionary purchase that closed on 19 August and was never an open competition (3 September). Wayne County, New York wants dental practice management, and dental charting and ADA claim formats are mandatory (3 September).
• What the SKIPs mostly were. Service delivery rather than software: counsellors, clinicians, hotlines, shelter operations and home care. Then construction, furniture and medical devices in health settings, and a run of bond counsel notices caught by the word "counsel".
